First, let's briefly cover the concept of flow (유량).
Flow refers to how much air or gas passes through a given point over a set period of time. Think of it like drinking through a straw - a flow meter is the device that tells you, in numbers, how hard you're drawing and how much is passing through.

The MFC combines flow measurement and automatic control. Once the user sets the desired flow value, the device automatically adjusts to maintain that exact flow rate at all times - like telling a balloon pump "fill it exactly this much" and having it do exactly that.
