It is simpler than it sounds.
A 2-Ferrule product is built so that both ends can be joined with a Tri-Clamp.
A Tri-Clamp is not a fiddly bolted or threaded joint: you line the ferrules up with a gasket between them and secure the pair with a clamp.
That makes taking the line apart comparatively quick and convenient work.
For a line that needs regular cleaning, inspection or part replacement, the easy-release 2-Ferrule design is genuinely useful.

The biggest strength of a short elbow: saving space!
