How do I distinguish between angle valves and inline valves?

Angle valves have a flow path that bends 90 degrees, suitable for direct connection to pumps and chambers to reduce piping length or connect vertical and horizontal piping. Inline valves have a straight flow path, used by inserting in the middle of straight piping for line interruption purposes. For pump shutoff and other installations directly below chambers, angle valves are usually more suitable.

Standard specifications are designed targeting approximately 10,000 or more open/close cycles. The actual achievable vacuum varies greatly with chamber volume, pumping system configuration, operating temperature, and gas type, and separate specification review is required for environments requiring ultra-high vacuum (UHV).
