A steam conditioning valve that handles pressure reduction and desuperheating in a single valve. As the plug opens, the holes in the orifice tube are uncovered so cooling water is added in proportion to the steam flow. Used in power and process plants for turbine bypass, start-up service, process reactors and plant heating.
