Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between the 1000PSI and 2000PSI (HD) ratings?
The 1000PSI (approximately 69 bar) rating covers the 10K and 20K classes used in most domestic industrial lines and is sufficient for the majority of general shutoff applications. The 2000PSI (approximately 138 bar) rating is required for high-pressure steam lines, high-rise building pressurized lines, and high-pressure water treatment lines. Please share your maximum operating pressure and surge pressure for a rating recommendation.
How do I choose between 2PC and 3PC?
2PC has fewer parts, fewer leakage points, and a cost advantage, making it suitable for lines with long maintenance intervals and general control duties. 3PC allows the center body and two end caps to be separated so seat and ball can be serviced without dismantling the pipeline, making it the standard choice for lines with frequent maintenance or that need long-term operation without full disassembly.
What does the patented anti-loosening device do?
The ball valve stem-to-handle joint can loosen over time due to repeated open/close cycling and vibration. The anti-loosening device secures the handle with a dedicated locking structure to resist this loosening and also prevents unintended misoperation. It is particularly preferred on lines where strict safety management is required.
What is the operating temperature range of the PTFE seat?
Standard PTFE seats are typically rated for approximately -20 to 200°C. For temperatures outside this range or highly abrasive fluids, alternative seat materials such as RTFE, PEEK, or metal seats should be considered. Please share your operating temperature and differential pressure conditions for a material recommendation.
