Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I choose between 2PC and 3PC ball valves?
- 2PC has fewer parts and fewer leakage points, making it cost-competitive and suitable for lines with long maintenance intervals and general control duties. 3PC allows the center body and two end caps to be separated for seat and ball servicing without dismantling the pipeline, making it the standard choice for lines with frequent maintenance or that require long-term operation without full disassembly at high pressure.
- When is the 2000PSI rating required?
- Most domestic industrial and process lines operate at 10K (1.0 MPa, approximately 145PSI) or 20K (290PSI), but high-pressure steam lines, pressurized lines in high-rise buildings, and high-pressure water treatment lines may require the 2000PSI (approximately 138 bar) rating. Please share your maximum operating pressure and surge pressure for a rating recommendation.
- How does the patented anti-loosening device work?
- The ball valve stem-to-handle joint can loosen over time due to repeated open/close cycling and vibration. The anti-loosening device secures the handle with a dedicated locking structure to resist this loosening and also prevents unintended misoperation. It is particularly preferred on lines where strict on-site safety management is required.
- What is the operating temperature range of the PTFE seat?
- Standard PTFE seats are typically rated for approximately -20 to 200°C. For temperatures outside this range, alternative seat materials such as RTFE, PEEK, or metal seats should be considered. Please share your operating temperature and differential pressure conditions for a recommendation.
