1PC Ball Valve BSPT (SUS304, Bare)

Model: PAV-01

PAV-01 is a bare-shaft ball valve featuring a precision-cast SUS304 body with a 1PC (single-piece) construction and BSPT threaded connection. With an ISO5211 direct mounting pad as a standard specification, it is used for small-bore shutoff lines in the chemical, plant, water/wastewater, and construction sectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between 1PC and 2PC/3PC ball valves?
1PC is cast as a single-piece body with no joints, minimizing part count, cost, and leakage points. However, seat and ball cannot be replaced individually during maintenance - the entire valve must be replaced. 2PC and 3PC have separable bodies for easier servicing but require management of joint-area leakage. Choose 1PC for small-bore lines with long maintenance intervals and cost sensitivity; choose 2PC or 3PC where frequent or disassembly-based maintenance is required.
Can BSPT connections be used directly on PT or NPT lines?
BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper, 55°) and PT (JIS taper, 55°) share the same thread angle and are generally interchangeable with sealing tape. NPT (US standard, 60°) has a different angle and poses a leakage risk if connected directly; use an adapter or an NPT-specific product for NPT lines.
How is a bare shaft specification used?
A bare shaft valve is supplied with only the stem exposed - no handle or actuator installed. The appropriate driver (manual handle, pneumatic actuator, or electric actuator) is attached on site. The ISO5211 direct mounting pad allows the top driver to be changed without replacing the body, making it well suited for phased automation.
How is pressure-testing performed before shipment?
PAV-01 is pressure-tested against API598 criteria to verify body and seat integrity before shipment. If additional test certificates are required due to project specifications, please request them in advance and we will advise on feasibility.
