Vacuum KF Bored Blank Flange (SUS304)

Model: PVF-22

PVF-22 is a blank flange among the KF (NW) standard vacuum flanges with a machined center bore that users can customize via welding or additional machining. Made of SUS304 with KF standard dimensions, it is used for custom port configuration in semiconductor, display, solar, and laboratory equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a standard blank flange differ from a bored blank flange?
A standard blank flange is fully closed at the center and is used to terminate a line or to blank off an unused port. A bored blank flange has a machining allowance bore at the center, designed so that the user can re-machine it on site to the required diameter and weld a tube, fitting, or sensor to it. Use the bored type when a custom port configuration is required.
Is there anything to watch out for after machining?
Metal swarf and weld scale generated during machining can contaminate vacuum lines. After machining, the interior must be thoroughly cleaned, and for high-vacuum lines a passivation treatment is recommended. Welds should be leak-tested for hermeticity before being put into service.
What sizes are available?
We can supply major KF (NW) standard sizes including NW16, NW25, NW40, and NW50. Tell us the flange standard you currently use and the additional port diameter you need, and we will prepare the appropriate bore size.
Is custom machining available if on-site machining is impractical?
If on-site machining is difficult, share the required port configuration in advance (diameter, count, connection specification) and we can discuss whether to deliver pre-machined parts. Send a drawing or specification and we will reply with feasibility and lead time.
