Pneumatic Butterfly Valve (Cast Iron, Double Acting, 10K)
Model: PAVP-13(FC,D)
PAVP-13(FC,D) is a pneumatic double-acting butterfly valve combining a cast iron body with a SUS304 disc and EPDM seat. The short face-to-face dimension and concentric construction improve installation efficiency and operating torque, and it is used for large-bore remote on/off lines in the chemical, plant, water/wastewater, and construction sectors.
Features
- Short face-to-face distance enables installation in confined spaces
- Simple structural design with low defect rate
- Quick open/close for effective fluid control
- High tightness and durability
- Concentric structure with low torque
- First in Korea to apply ISO5211 Direct Mounting Pad

Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I choose between double-acting and single-acting?
- Double-acting drives both directions pneumatically, providing large torque margin and fast operation speed; however, position retention is uncertain when pneumatic pressure is lost. Single-acting (spring return) automatically returns to the configured direction (Fail Close or Fail Open) via spring force when air is lost, making it suitable for lines where safety shutoff is critical. Choose single-acting when fail-safe is required, double-acting for general control applications.
- What lines are cast iron body valves suitable for?
- Cast iron bodies offer excellent cost competitiveness and are widely used as standard in water/sewage and construction utility fields for low-corrosion fluids in large-diameter lines such as general industrial water, treated water, HVAC water, and air. For fluids with high chloride concentrations or strong acidity/alkalinity, stainless or ductile cast iron specifications should be reviewed separately.
- What is the application range of EPDM seats?
- EPDM has excellent durability against water, hot water, and mildly alkaline fluids, and good recovery elasticity in CIP/SIP environments. Swelling can occur with hydrocarbon-based fluids such as oil and fuel, so consider other seat materials such as NBR for those environments.
- How is the cast iron body coated?
- Cast iron bodies are coated externally with epoxy-based coating as standard to prevent external corrosion, and internal lining options (epoxy, rubber lining, etc.) can be applied depending on the operating fluid. For lines requiring internal coating such as seawater or special chemical lines, let us know the operating conditions and we will review the appropriate specification.
- What accessories can be attached to a pneumatic valve?
- PAVP-13(FC,D) can be supplied as an integrated package combining various accessories to meet field requirements. Typical accessories include limit switch boxes for feeding open/close status to DCS/PLC, solenoid valves for remote sequence control, and air filter regulators for particulate/moisture removal and pressure stabilization. Provide your field configuration (remote control, feedback requirements, pneumatic line condition) and we will prepare the appropriate accessory combination.
