Pneumatic Butterfly Valve (Cast Iron, Single Acting, 10K)

Model: PAVP-13(FC,S)

PAVP-13(FC,S) is a butterfly valve combining a cast iron body with a SUS304 disc, EPDM seat, and a pneumatic single-acting actuator. With a short face-to-face dimension, concentric construction, and 10K pressure rating as standard, it is used for large-bore fail-safe automatic shutoff lines in the water/wastewater, construction, and plant sectors.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between single-acting and double-acting?
Single-acting (spring return) automatically returns to Fail Close/Fail Open when pneumatic pressure is lost, making it suitable for lines where safety shutoff is critical. Double-acting offers fast response and large torque margin, suited for high-frequency repetitive control; however, position retention is uncertain when air is lost. Choose single-acting for fire protection and safety shutoff lines, double-acting for general high-speed control.
What lines is the cast iron body suitable for?
Cast iron bodies offer excellent cost competitiveness and are widely used as standard for low-corrosion fluids in large-diameter lines such as general industrial water, treated water, and HVAC water. For fluids with high chloride concentrations or strong acidity/alkalinity, stainless or ductile cast iron specifications should be reviewed separately.
What is the application range of EPDM seats?
EPDM has excellent durability against water, hot water, and mildly alkaline fluids, and good recovery elasticity in CIP/SIP environments. Swelling can occur with hydrocarbon-based fluids such as oil and fuel, so consider other seat materials such as NBR for those environments.
What accessories can be attached to a pneumatic valve?
We supply integrated packages combining limit switch boxes, solenoid valves, and air filter regulators based on field requirements. Let us know your field configuration and we will prepare the appropriate combination.
