Sanitary 3WAY Pneumatic Ball Valve (SUS316, Double Acting)

Model: PSVP-03

PSVP-03 is a sanitary ball valve combining a SUS316 body with a 3WAY ball and a pneumatic double-acting actuator. With 3A sanitary standard design principles, CLEAN AND OIL FREE treatment as standard, and an ISO5211 direct mounting pad, it is used for 3-way automatic flow-switching lines in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, and secondary battery processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I distinguish L-port and T-port for a 3-way ball valve?
L-port connects only one of the two ports, suited for selecting one of two supplies or feeding to a single outlet - simple switching applications. T-port can connect three ports simultaneously and is used for manifolds requiring branching and merging at the same time. For simple switching in process sequences, choose L-port; for simultaneous multi-route control, choose T-port.
How do I choose between double-acting and single-acting?
Double-acting drives both opening and closing pneumatically, offering large torque margin and fast operation, making it suited for batch processes with frequent cycles or high-speed switching lines. Single-acting (spring-return) is selected when fail-safe configuration with automatic return upon loss of pneumatic pressure is needed. Choose double-acting when high-speed repeated control is the priority, and single-acting when safety shutoff is the priority.
What accessories can be attached to pneumatic valves?
Integrated packages combining various accessories tailored to site requirements can be supplied. Typical accessories include limit switch boxes (open/close status feedback), solenoid valves (remote sequence control), and air filter regulators (supply-air purification and pressure stabilization). Tell us your site configuration and we will prepare an appropriate combination.
To what extent are 3A design principles applied?
PSVP-03 is manufactured reflecting the surface finish, dead-space minimization, and cleanability principles required by the 3A sanitary standard. If your project requires issuance of an official certificate, please notify us in advance and we will advise on availability.
