Sanitary 90° Short Elbow (SUS304, 1 Ferrule)

Model: PSF-47

PSF-47 is a short-type elbow used for 90° direction changes in sanitary piping, featuring a ferrule machined on one end to enable tri-clamp connection. With a precision-cast SUS304 body and standard sanitary-piping polishing, it is used for direction-change points in sanitary piping for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, and secondary battery processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose between short-type and long-type elbows?
The short type has a smaller curvature radius, saving installation space, but the sharper curvature creates relatively higher flow resistance and a tendency for partial turbulence during CIP cleaning. The long type has a larger curvature radius for smoother flow and better cleaning efficiency but takes up more piping space. Choose short type when space is the priority, and long type when cleaning efficiency and flow stability are the priorities.
What is the difference between single-ferrule and double-ferrule configurations?
Double-ferrule has tri-clamp connections on both ends, suitable for removable piping. Single-ferrule has a ferrule on only one side and is used at interfaces where a fixed welded line transitions to a removable section. Choose the appropriate type from single-ferrule, double-ferrule, or weld type according to the on-site piping configuration.
Which is appropriate, SUS304 or SUS316L?
SUS304 is the standard for most general food, beverage, and hygienic lines. SUS316L is generally selected for lines with high chloride concentrations, lines containing strong organic acids, and GMP-grade pharmaceutical and biotech processes for corrosion resistance and regulatory compliance. Tell us the fluid and regulatory requirements and we will review the appropriate material.
What is the inner surface finish?
Inner polishing is applied to hygienic-pipe standards. For pharmaceutical and biotech projects requiring Ra 0.5 micrometer or finer, an electropolishing specification can also be reviewed. Share the required roughness and we will advise on availability.
