Sanitary Clamp (SUS304, 2-Stage)

Model: PSF-01

PSF-01 is a 2-stage (double-pin) SUS304 clamp that secures sanitary tri-clamp connections. Wing-nut operation enables tool-free installation and removal, and it is used to secure sanitary-piping joints in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, and secondary battery processes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a two-stage (double-pin) and a single-stage (single-pin) clamp?
A single-pin clamp has its hinge at one location, giving a simple structure and lower cost. A double-pin clamp distributes the hinge to two locations, providing more uniform circumferential face pressure and higher clamping stability. Single-pin is preferred for general piping; double-pin is preferred for lines that require high hermeticity or are repeatedly disconnected and reconnected.
Do I need to prepare gaskets separately?
Yes. The tri-clamp system forms its seal only when the clamp, gasket, and ferrule are combined. Clamps and gaskets should be managed by size as a matched set, and gaskets are typically selected from EPDM, silicone, PTFE, or similar materials according to the application. Tell us the fluid and temperature in use and we will recommend an appropriate gasket material.
How is the size selected?
Sanitary clamps are supplied in tri-clamp standard sizes (1", 1.5", 2", etc.). Tell us the size of the ferrule or pipe currently in use and we will prepare a matching clamp.
Is there anything to watch out for during installation?
Over-tightening can deform the gasket excessively and cause creep, while under-tightening produces insufficient face pressure and leakage. Hand-tighten the wing nut firmly, and if a tool is used afterwards, stay within the specified torque range. During periodic inspections, check the clamp for loosening and inspect the gasket condition together.
