Sanitary Concentric Reducer (SUS304, 2 Ferrules)

Model: PSF-30

PSF-30 is a concentric reducer used to step the pipe diameter in sanitary lines. Made of SUS304 with ferrule connections on both ends, it allows easy tri-clamp coupling and disassembly, and is used in sanitary-piping configurations for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, and secondary battery lines.

Frequently Asked Questions

How should I choose between concentric and eccentric reducers?
A concentric reducer has the centerlines of both pipes aligned and is mainly used where flow symmetry is important or on vertical piping. An eccentric reducer has one face kept parallel to the pipe, used on horizontal piping to prevent liquid from pooling at the bottom or air pockets from collecting at the top. Select the appropriate shape according to process characteristics.
What are the advantages of a double-ferrule configuration?
A double-ferrule configuration has tri-clamp ferrules on both ends, allowing fast clamp-only connection and disconnection on the piping line. This improves maintenance efficiency on hygienic lines with frequent CIP/SIP cleaning or short replacement and inspection cycles.
Should I select SUS304 or SUS316L?
SUS304 is the standard for most general food, beverage, and hygienic lines. SUS316L is generally selected for lines with high chloride concentrations, lines containing strong organic acids, and GMP-grade pharmaceutical and biotech processes for corrosion resistance and regulatory compliance. Tell us the fluid and regulatory requirements and we will review the appropriate material.
What is the inner surface finish?
Inner polishing is applied to hygienic-pipe standards before delivery. For pharmaceutical and biotech projects requiring higher surface roughness (Ra 0.5 micrometer or finer), an electropolishing specification can also be reviewed. Share the required roughness and we will advise on availability.
