Ferrule type (double-ferrule) allows tri-clamp disconnection and suits sections with frequent disassembly and reassembly. Use weld type for fixed main piping and ferrule type at disconnection points.

How do I choose between concentric and eccentric reducers?

A concentric reducer has the centerlines of both pipes aligned and is mainly used where flow symmetry is important or on vertical piping. An eccentric reducer has one face kept parallel to the pipe, used on horizontal piping to prevent liquid from pooling at the bottom or air pockets from collecting at the top.

Is there anything to watch out for during welding?

On hygienic lines, the standard practice is to apply orbital welding under an argon back-purge environment to prevent oxide scale on the inner surface.
