Sanitary Equal Tee (SUS304, Weld)
Model: PSF-22
PSF-22 is a weld-type equal tee used to distribute or merge fluids in sanitary lines. With a precision-cast SUS304 body and internal polishing meeting sanitary-piping standards, it is used for branching points in fixed piping for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical, food and beverage, and secondary battery processes.

Frequently Asked Questions
- On what basis should weld-type and ferrule-type fittings be chosen?
- Weld type is used when the entire line is built as a continuously welded structure, offering excellent long-term hermeticity and minimized dead space. Ferrule type (tri-clamp) is suited to lines with frequent disassembly and reassembly and offers higher maintenance convenience, but has more joints and relatively more dead space. Choose weld type for fixed piping sections and ferrule type for sections that are frequently disassembled.
- Is there anything to watch out for during welding?
- On hygienic lines, the standard practice is to apply orbital welding under an argon back-purge environment to prevent oxide scale on the inner surface. Internal cleaning and passivation are then required to meet hygienic-line cleanliness. This product is delivered with the inner surface already polished, so be careful not to contaminate the interior during on-site welding.
- Which is appropriate, SUS304 or SUS316L?
- SUS304 is the standard for most general food, beverage, and hygienic lines. SUS316L is generally selected for lines with high chloride concentrations, lines containing strong organic acids or solvents, and GMP-grade pharmaceutical and biotech processes for corrosion resistance and regulatory compliance. Tell us the fluid and regulatory requirements and we will review the appropriate material.
- What is the inner surface finish?
- Inner polishing is applied to hygienic-pipe standards. For pharmaceutical and biotech projects requiring Ra 0.5 micrometer or finer, an electropolishing specification can also be reviewed. Share the required surface roughness and we will advise on availability.
